Artistic approach

My practice is based on spontaneity and intuition. I often let the material guide me towards the unexpected; it's this element of unpredictability, when the canvas takes a surprising direction, that lies at the heart of my approach. Sometimes I begin with a clear intention, then I let it drift, carried along by what I feel in the moment. I don't try to control this shift; I simply follow it.

I work primarily with acrylics and alcohol inks, two materials I love for the distinct movements they create. I choose between the two depending on what I feel at the moment; acrylics offer me a rich material that I combine with different mediums to create texture, while alcohol inks allow for unique fluidities and plays of movement.

For me, painting is about accepting to lose control in order to better find myself; each canvas becomes a witness to an inner liberation, a sincere and colorful trace of what I am going through.

It is this element of unpredictability, when the canvas takes a surprising direction, that is at the heart of my passion.

Welcome to my world.
